Whoday Whoday oh oh
Whoday Whoday oh oh
Spoken:
Dis is a story ladies and gentlemen about two lovely white women
Travelling all de way to Africa
Found themselves deep in the heart of the Baluba
In de congo
In de hands of my big brother Umba
and if ut was me ah woulda taken dem back to dey husband
But brother was hungry, hungry, hungry!
Sung:
Two white women travelling through Africa
Find themselves in de hands of a cannibal headhunter
He cook up one, he eat one raw
Dey taste so good he wanted more, more!
He want more!
Aye yi yay
I envy de Congo man
I wish it was me ah want to shake he hand
He eat until he stomach upset and I...
Never eat ah white meat yet
Whoday Whoday oh oh
Whoday Whoday oh oh
(Tribal sounds)
Peeping through the bushes to see what's taking place
There I saw de Congoman goin' to tek a little taste
He open he eye and he start to grin, rubbing he belly and he mumbling...
Aye yi yay
I envy de Congo man
I wish it was me ah want to shake he hand
He eat until he stomach upset what about you Rico?..never eat ah white meat yet
yuh lie!
Whoday Whoday oh oh
Whoday Whoday oh oh
Yabba dabba dabba do ya
Yabba dabba dabba do ya
(Tribal sounds)
Tie dem up and he put dem to lay down on de ground
Light de fire and he started dancing round and round
One of de women started to beg
He bit she on she chest and den he.. on she leg...
He eat she raw
Aye yi yay
I envy de Congo man
I wish it was me ah want to shake he hand
He eat until he stomach upset, what about you?(never eat ah white meat yet)

Rum and Coca Cola (1943)
Since the Yankees come to Trinidad,
They have the young girls all goin' mad.
The young girls say they treat'em nice,
And they give them a better price.
Chorus:
They buy rum an' Coca Cola,
Go down to Point Cumana.
Both mother and daughter,
Working for the Yankee dollar.
Ah, look I had a little chick the other day,
But her mother came and took her away,
Herself, her mother and her sisters,
Went in a cab with some soldiers.
(Chorus)
Chorus:
Rum and Coca-Cola,
Go down Point Cumana.
They have some aristos in Port of Spain,
I know a lot, but I won't call name,
And in the day they wouldn't give you a right*
But you might see them with the foreigners late at night,
drinking
(chorus)
I know a couple who got married one afternoon,
And was to go Miami on their honeymoon,
But the bride run away with a soldier lad,
And the stupid husband went staring mad.
(Chorus)

Slave
I'm a slave from a land so far
I was caught and
I was brought here from Africa
I'm a slave from a land so far
I was caught and
I was brought here from Africa
Well it was licks like fire
From de white slavemaster
Everyday I dong on knees
Weeks and weeks before we cross de seas to reach in de west indies
And den he make we wuk
And den ah wuk
Good lord no pay
Ah toil
Ah toil, Ah toil
Ah toil hard each day
I'm dying
I'm crying
Oh oh-oh...oh oh
Oh Lord I wanna be free
Many times ah wanted to run
But de (?) slavemaster standing dey wit de gun
Oh I know he go shoot to kill
So ah stay, stay and ah pray
But ah planning still
I study night and day how to break away
Ah got to make a brilliant escape
But everytime ah tink about de whip an' dem dogs
Meh body does start tuh shake
He make we wuk
Ah said ah wuk
Oh lord no pay
Ah toil
Ah toil
Ah toil hard each day
I'm dying
I'm crying
Oh oh-oh...oh oh
Oh Lord I wanna be free
La la la la la...
In my heart, there was much to say
Ah always hope de boss woulda listen to me some day
Although he knew (damn well knew) my request was very small
But de sting ah the whip there to answer me when ah hell
We had to chant and sing to express ourselves
To dat wicked and cruel man
That was the only medicine to make he listen
And is so calyso began
He make we wuk
Ah say ah wuk
Oh lord no pay
Ah toil
Ah toil, ah toil
Ah toil hard each day
I'm dying
I'm crying
Oh ooh-oh-oh...oh oh
Oh Lord I wanna be free
(La da da da dey....)
And den times change in so many, many many ways
Then one day somebody said "Free de bloody slaves"
I was then
Put out on the street
Ah ha' no clothes, ha' no food and no place to sleep
Worst of all
Had no education, no particular ambition
This I cannot conceal
Forgot my native culture
Ah lived like a vulture, from de white man ah had to steal
Because he make we wuk
Ah said ah wuk
Oh lord no pay
Ah toil
Ah toil
Ah toil
Ah toil hard each day
I'm dying
I'm crying
Oh ooh-oh-oh...oh oh.....
